Skincare on your Lazy Days

Skincare on your Lazy Days

We all have days when we just can't keep up with that 5-step, 6-step, 7-step skincare regime. If today is that day for you, here are some daily necessities that you should (try to) never ever skip.
  • Cleansing: The most basic of a skincare regime, cleansing removes impurities and excess oil from your skin so it can stay breakout-free. Cleansing prepares your skin for other skincare products, so that they can work more effectively. For dry or sensitive skin, try a alcohol-free cleanser that is creamy. For oily skin, a good cleanser shrinks pores and reduces blackheads and pimples.
  • Water: Water flushes toxins out of our body and makes sure our digestive system runs smoothly. It removes impurities that leads to breakouts from the inside. Good digestive health has been proven to lead to good skin health so make sure to get your 8 glasses of water everyday.
  • Moisturizing: As you age, our skin loses elasticity, gets thinner, and drier. Applying moisturizer helps our skin hold in moisture
  • Sunscreen: Sunscreen not only protects the skin from skin cancer but also from signs of aging. Look for a sunscreen with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide for full protection and apply at least 20 minutes before sun exposure (this includes sitting next to a window too).
